About

Lizi Bailey

Counselor & Life Coach. 20 years in vocational ministry. Musician, worship leader, and lifelong student of what it means to be human.

The counseling relationship is a deeply personal one, and I come to my time with each client with curiosity, respect, and compassion. I consider it an honor to come alongside you right where you are. It’s hard being human sometimes — my goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore and process your story, and to move toward healing and wholeness.

None of us was meant to walk alone. I’m here to walk with you for a season — to listen, to understand, to ask good questions, and to use what I’ve learned to help you move forward in the ways you long to. Whether that’s exploring identity, processing hurt, discovering your strengths, or learning new ways to navigate life’s challenges, I am for you becoming more of who you were meant to be.

My Approach

A framework for flourishing

Telling the truth about our stories is central to healing and good mental health, and my aim is to make that feel possible. We’ll spend real time getting to know each other — I ask a lot of questions, all in service of understanding what makes you you, and which experiences and relationships helped shape you.

Together we’ll name goals for your journey and take practical, steady steps toward them. There are psychological aspects to this work and practical ones. I often invite clients into a simple three-part framework:

Identity

Understanding who you are — beneath the roles, the wounds, and the noise — and who you were made to be.

Relationships

Making sense of the connections that shape us, and learning healthier ways to show up in them.

Purpose

Moving toward a life that fits your values — with direction, meaning, and room to grow.

Background & Training

Faith, training, and a lot of life

I recently earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, and I’ve spent 20 years in vocational Christian ministry. My faith is woven through how I understand people — their longings, their losses, and the hope that we’re never beyond healing.

I’m also a professional musician, songwriter, and worship leader. That creative life enriches how I connect with people — often on a deeper, more expressive level than words alone allow.

Note: counseling services are offered as licensure in Texas is finalized; life coaching is available now, anywhere.

Off the Clock

The rest of me

Exploring the mountains is one of my very favorite things. Hiking, reading, travel, music, photography, and long conversations over good food give me a lot of life.

I’ve been married to Matthew for 26 years — he’s also a counselor and a musician. We have five kids we love spending time with, and a really cute grandchild who has our hearts. There’s quite a bit of life experience that finds its way into the room with me.
